When Sam and Diane opted to go their separate ways while reciting their wedding vows on the season finale of “Cheers” last week, millions of viewers were tuned in . . . enough, in fact, to make it the week’s highest-rated show. The “Moonlighting” episode that picked up on the morning after David and Maddie’s encounter also made it into the top 10 of the A.C. Nielsen ratings, released Tuesday. The top 10 shows (in order) were “Cheers,” “Family Ties,” “The Cosby Show,” “Moonlighting,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Murder Ordained” (Part Two), “Nothing in Common,” “Golden Girls,” “Growing Pains” and “A Gathering of Old Men.” Anchoring the list in the 65-70 spots were, respectively, “Amazing Stories,” “Disney Sunday Movie,” “Jack & Mike,” “Harry’s Hong Kong,” “West 57th” and “Our World.” The full Nielsen list appears on Page 8.
