Fumes From Race Car Explode: Fuel fumes from a race car stored in a garage in the 7200 block of Wellesley Avenue exploded Monday night, causing an estimated $40,000 in damage before firefighters brought the flames under control. Thirty firefighters summoned to the two-alarm blaze doused the flames before they spread from the garage to a two-story house, Battalion Chief Glen E. Hines said. No one was injured, he said.
