Norwalk : College Staff to Get Raise
The Classified School Employees Assn. and Cerritos College have agreed on a three-year contract, which includes a 6.09% salary increase retroactive to Jan. 1.
The seven-member board of trustees voted unanimously for the agreement, which will cost the district $484,746 in salaries and nearly $85,000 in health and welfare benefits the first year.
The classified employees’ bargaining union has 309 members, including clerks, maintenance workers, technicians and other non-teaching personnel.
Negotiations usually start at around the end of each year for the next year’s contract, said Mark Wallace, college information director.
