Ken Norton, former heavyweight boxing champion, filed a $1-million lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against former business partners Jack and Michele Rodri.
Norton and the Rodris formed Ken Norton Personal Management Agency, Inc., in 1985. The Rodris’ plan was to capitalize on Norton’s name and manage athletes. The agency ended up with one client, Ram running back Eric Dickerson.
The suit claims that after Norton suffered a near-fatal auto accident in February 1986, Norton’s wife, Jacqueline, discovered that the agency was being improperly managed.
The suit says that Jack Rodri misappropriated assets for his own use, used Norton’s personal money to finance investments that were risky and acquired assets for himself.
