Former Kansas and Huntington Beach Edison quarterback Frank Seuer, now a backup with the Kansas City Chiefs, suffered a dislocated hip and an ankle injury in an early-morning car accident, team officials said.
Seurer, who was signed by the Chiefs as a free agent last season, was in satisfactory condition Sunday at a Kansas City Hospital.
Seurer was alone in his car when it ran off the road near the intersection of Highway 7 and Wood Chapel Road near Blue Springs, Mo., about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, a Chiefs spokesman said. No traffic citations were issued and tests on Seurer uncovered no signs of alcohol or drug use, the spokesman said.
