Comments Made at Casey Funeral
I wish to congratulate the Bishop McGann on his courage in speaking the truth at William Casey’s funeral.
I personally have found the most difficult times to speak up are when propriety dictates that we be silent.
To ignore the fact that nuclear weapons have made all war obsolete is to ignore the primary moral issue of our times. We can no longer afford sins of omission that reinforce our already deep state of denial.
Bishop McGann, know that your voice was heard and gave one more soul hope and strength.
