Newport Beach : Fund Grows for Orphans in Murder-Suicide Case
Donations to a trust fund for six Anaheim children who were orphaned in February as a result of the murder-suicide of their parents has reached $11,000, said William G. Steiner, executive director of the Orangewood Children’s Foundation.
“The generosity of many people throughout the community is really heartwarming,” Steiner said.
The children--Jesus, 13; Esau, 10; Denny, 9; Tommy, 7, and twins Eileen and Vivian, 5--have been in protective custody at Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange since their father fatally shot the mother and then turned a gun on himself on Feb. 12.
Steiner said interest has been expressed for adoption of the children, but social workers are hoping they can be placed together.
Donations for the children may be sent to the Orangewood Children’s Foundation, 3400 Irvine Ave., Suite 108, Newport Beach, Calif. 92660.
