The California Lottery reported surpassing the $3-billion mark in ticket sales and has awarded 102 million-dollar prizes in its first 20 months of operation. Director M. Mark Michalko said: “These are tangible milestones because they mean significant supplemental funding for California schools on the one hand and life-changing prizes to a sizable number of players on the other.”
