South Korean challenger Park Chang-young stopped Takuya Muguruma of Japan in the 11th round at Moriguchi, Japan, to win the World Boxing Assn. bantamweight championship.
American referee Larry Rozadila halted the scheduled 15-rounder at 1:26 of the round. Muguruma (25-2-1) had been bleeding from the nose since the seventh round, and Park (25-3) had been bleeding from his ear since the eighth.
