Cleanup of a noxious spill from an overturned truck that forced the temporary evacuation of half the people in the Northern California town of Dorris will not be completed until at least this afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said. Officers said the truck carrying 7,000 gallons of wood preservative overturned on California 97 Friday near the center of town, five miles south of the Oregon border. Most of the 500 who fled had returned home by Sunday.
