Jeffrey D. Gow has been named executive vice president of Homes By Polygon, Costa Mesa. Gow, formerly vice president of marketing, will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all company operations. In addition, he will be involved with the firm’s recently acquired Glendale Development division.

Jeffry L. Stoddard has been promoted to executive vice president of the Buie Corp., Laguna Niguel. Stoddard will manage the company’s land development and home building activities in Orange County. He is currently developing Rancho Niguel, a 600-acre master-planned community in Laguna Niguel.

Kim A. Calero has been appointed vice president, finance/administration, for West Coast Design Inc., Huntington Beach. Calero’s responsibilities will include all non-technical activities associated with the overall operation of the firm. She previously served as administration manager for Wilsey & Ham of Southern California.

Karen L. Vasquez, senior property manager for community associations with the William Walters Co., San Diego, has been awarded the Professional Community Assn. Manager designation by the Community Assns. Institute.

Stephen E. Bauer has been named president of Coldwell Banker Residential Affiliates Inc., Newport Beach. Formerly chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Boston, Bauer will be responsible for residential franchise operations. Prior to joining Coldwell, Bauer was president of GlenFed Franchise Services.

William B. Rick, chairman and chief executive of Rick Engineering Co., has been named “Engineer of the Year” by the California Society of Professional Engineers.

Dennis J. Pike has been appointed director of leasing for Equitable Real Estate Investment Management Inc., responsible for marketing Equitable properties in Southern California.

Bruce A. Kehrli has been named operating partner for residential development for the Linpro Co., Newport Beach.

David G. Hammond has been elected to the Transit Hall of Fame by the American Public Transit Assn. for his contributions as a “significant planner in the mobilization of the nation.” He retired from Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall, and also served as the project director for Metro Rail Transit Consultants.

Merrilee Radatz has been promoted to executive vice president for Osborne Advertising, Irvine.

Sydney Wilson has been named director of public relations and marketing for Katersky Financial, a Woodland Hills investment firm.
