Marvelous Marvin Hagler apparently does not plan to join Sugar Ray Leonard in retirement.
Hagler, through an attorney, has asked that he be included in the World Boxing Assn.’s rankings, said James Binns, counsel for the WBA.
The WBA withdrew championship recognition from Hagler before his split-decision loss to Leonard April 6 because he failed to make a mandatory defense within a prescribed time.
