“The Color of Money” climbed to the top of the Billboard magazine videocassette rental chart in just three weeks, toppling “Peggy Sue Got Married,” No. 1 for only a week, and now No. 2. Clint Eastwood’s “Heartbreak Ridge,” is the hot new rental, shooting up to No. 8 in its second week on the rental chart. “Legal Eagles,” (No. 5), “Stand By Me” (No. 7) and “Blue Velvet” (No. 9) continue to be popular. “Mona Lisa,” featuring Bob Hoskins’ acclaimed Oscar-nominated performance, figured to be a Top 10 rental. So far it’s only reached No. 18. “Top Gun” still heads the videocassette sales chart. Top-selling older movies are “The Sound of Music” and “Scarface”--the 1983 version starring Al Pacino. Other sales charts: “Sleeping Beauty” and “Pinocchio” continue to be the best-selling kidvid cassettes; “Jane Fonda’s Low Impact Aerobic Workout” and “Jane Fonda’s New Workout” head the health and fitness chart.
