Manhattan Beach : Teen Center Site Selected

The City Council has decided to locate the city's planned center for teen agers in the Manhattan Heights Community Building.

Council members voted several months ago to open a drop-in center for teen-agers, and picked the La Marina School on Redondo Avenue as the site. But the city decided that the estimated $35,000 to $45,000 cost of refurbishing the building was too high, according to a report by Parks and Recreation Director James Stecklein.
