19 Hospitalized After Breathing Cleaning Fumes
Nineteen people were taken to five Carson-area hospitals for treatment of nausea, dizziness and headaches Friday after breathing fumes of a solution used to clean floors at a commercial building at 859 E. Sepulveda Blvd.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said that the victims suffered “mild to moderate” physical effects from the chemical, a combination of Toulene and Ziolene, and that one person declined to go to a hospital.
Five ambulances, two hazardous material units and an engine company responded to the 12:33 p.m. call.
