“Pure coincidence” is how West Germany’s national television network called the broadcasting of “Law and Order,” a 1953 Western starring Ronald Reagan, on the day after the President’s appearance in that country. “We had no idea Reagan would be coming when this film was scheduled,” a representative of the national television network ARD said Thursday. “The fact we are showing this old film on the day after his visit to Berlin is pure coincidence.” The film, with former actor Reagan playing an ex-marshal, is also scheduled as the late-night movie on Saturday.
