Bruce McNall, the minority owner of the Kings, said Saturday that by the middle of this week he would own 49% of the team.
Speaking by phone from the NHL draft in Detroit, he also said that he is considering exercising an option offered by Jerry Buss, who owns 51% of the team, to become majority owner.
McNall, chairman of a Beverly Hills film production company, and art gallery owner, said he hadn’t decided whether to buy the shares that would make him majority owner, but would make a decision soon.
