San Pedro : 2 Awarded Scholarships
Two San Pedro women were among 10 students awarded scholarships for academic excellence by the Glenn and Lee Anderson Foundation, a nonprofit corporation that distributes money to charities and students from the South Bay and Long Beach areas.
Brita Brodin, 17, a senior at San Pedro High School, and Carla King, 38, a student at Los Angeles Harbor College, were each awarded $500 by the foundation, named for the U.S. representative from San Pedro and his wife.
