Althea Flynt, 64, wife of Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt, drowned in the bathtub of the couple’s Hollywood Hills home, coroner’s officials said. There was no immediate suspicion of foul play or suicide in the death, said coroner’s investigator Joseph Gruber. Flynt, who has been confined to a wheelchair since he was shot in 1978 during a break in his obscenity trial in Lawrenceville, Ga., was in the house at the time of his wife’s death, authorities said. She was his fourth wife. Flynt has often been in the public spotlight because of the explicit nature of Hustler’s photos and its editorial content.
