Jurors recommended death in the gas chamber for a 40-year-old Hells Angel motorcyclist convicted in Bakersfield of killing his girlfriend and her 13-year-old son to keep them from telling authorities about his drug dealing. Superior Court Judge Lewis E. King set sentencing of Robert Garceau for July 30. Prosecutors accused Garceau of stabbing and slashing the throats of Maureen Farrell Bautista, 38, and her son, Telesforo, in September, 1984. Garceau also has been convicted in the murder of Greg Rambo, 36, who was killed, according to authorities, after helping Garceau dispose of the bodies of the Bautistas. Garceau was sentenced to 32-years-to-life in prison for murdering Rambo.
