Arias, Vilas, Purcell in U.S. Clay Court

INDIANAPOLIS —
Jimmy Arias, the 1983 U.S. Clay Court tennis champion, and former runners-up Guillermo Vilas and Mel Purcell have entered the July 13-19 tournament at the Indianapolis Sports Center.
Arias, currently ranked 28th in the world, also was Clay Court runner-up in 1982. Vilas, ranked 62nd, was a finalist here in 1979; Purcell, ranked 68th, was runner-up in 1980.
Previously announced entries include No. 3 Mats Wilander and No. 10 Andres Gomez.
