16 Police Hurt in Clash at West German Rally

FREIBURG, West Germany —
Sixteen policemen were injured after clashes between police and about 250 young people, most of them squatters, in the West German university city of Freiburg on Sunday, police said.
A police spokesman said eight young people will be charged with breach of the peace after throwing stones, bottles and firecrackers at police who called on a squatters’ rally to disperse Saturday night.
