MUSIC FESTIVAL RETURNS JULY 27
The Strawberry Creek Music Festival, featuring six chamber music and orchestra concerts, will open its second summer season in Malibu on July 27 with workshops and run through Aug. 8 at Pepperdine University.
Also scheduled are six master classes and two student concerts.
Yehuda Gilad, who founded the festival in 1984, serves as its music director. Guest artists will include Abbey Simon and Peter Orth, piano; Kathleen Lenski, violin; Peter Rejto, cello; Juliana Gondek, soprano; Mitchell Lurie, clarinet, and David Jolley, horn.
Concerts will be held at 8 p.m. July 30, 31 and Aug. 1, 5, 7 and 8 at the Smothers Theatre.
