Providence’s Cirillo Signs With USC

Jeff Cirillo, a two-time Small Schools Division Player of the Year at Providence High, has signed a letter of intent to attend USC.

Cirillo batted .553 last season with 13 doubles, 8 home runs and 56 runs batted in. Cirillo came two RBIs shy of the Southern Section record set this season by Scott Davison of Redondo. Cirillo also stole 14 bases, had 5 triples and 57 hits.

As a pitcher, the right-hander was 10-3 with an earned-run average of 1.75. He also had 142 strikeouts in 88 innings.
