Bergeson Stand on Bolsa Chica

I was outraged to read Tom Alexander’s recent letter regarding Sen. Marian Bergeson and the Bolsa Chica issue.

I have known Bergeson for years and have worked alongside her for the quality of life here in Newport Beach. Bergeson has been acknowledged by many as the one who took the lead in bringing forth a compromise to clean up Upper Newport Bay. She has worked hard to preserve our environment.

I know that Bergeson will work with the same diligence on the Bolsa Chica issue in Huntington Beach and that through her efforts a compromise will be forged to preserve the wetlands and provide for ocean-related recreational opportunities for the public.

Bergeson deserves our appreciation for her efforts and our support for her goals.
