Boy, 3, Killed After He Runs Into Car’s Path
A 3-year-old boy ran across a street into the path of a car and was killed, police said Sunday.
Santa Ana Police Lt. Jack Nelson said Santana Ulloa Jr. and his mother, Eva Rodriguez, were visiting relatives in the 700 block of North Lacy Street when the boy ran across the street at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
The boy darted out from behind a parked truck into the path of a car that was traveling at about 15 m.p.h., Nelson said. The child was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died of head and internal injuries Saturday night.
The driver was not cited, Nelson said.
