“Dodger Stadium: The First 25 Years.” 3M/Scotch. $19.95. It’s Vin Scully narrating, not Mike Wallace, so don’t expect an in-depth look at the municipal controversy surrounding the establishment of “the Taj Mahal of baseball.” At least this documentary acknowledges that there was some opposition, even if it doesn’t dig into it. Most of the 72 minutes are devoted to a thorough, briskly paced, accentuate-the-positive history of the home team. Sometimes too brisk: Why abridge the Welch-versus-Reggie World Series duel when you could recreate the tension with a pitch-by-pitch account? Likewise the miracle playoff comeback in Philly and the season-ending sweep of the Astros. Still, a good value, especially for the sight of Lasorda when his torso went south instead of west, and a World Series montage set to “96 Tears”--a surprisingly cool move from the squarest team in town. Information: (800) 328-5727 or (612) 733-1110. ***
