2 Die as Cycle Hits Car in Canoga Park
A motorcyclist and a passenger in a car were killed Tuesday night when the motorcycle broadsided the car at a Canoga Park intersection, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said.
Witnesses said the motorcycle was traveling about 100 m.p.h. in the 7800 block of Canoga Avenue at about 9:05 p.m. when it crashed into a car turning left into a driveway just north of Saticoy Street, Lt. Alan Kerstein said.
Kerstein said the driver of the car was in serious condition and was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center and that a female passenger was killed instantly. The victims’ names were not released pending notification of their families.
