Share

Valeri Ann Young has become the first woman to join the Westwood Village Rotary Club.

Young, a vice president of Ketchum Communications, was one of the first Westside women installed in local chapters after a U. S. Supreme Court decision that barred the Rotary Club from excluding women. Young was installed June 18.

Young’s brother, Ronald Chase Wanglin, is the new president of the Westwood Village club. Their father, the late Chase Wanglin, was president of the local club in 1937 and her mother, the late Ann Wanglin, was a president of Rotary Anns, a women’s auxiliary organization.
