Ruth Seltzer of Studio City will receive the annual Buddy Award on Aug. 12 at the Ida Mayer Cummings Auxiliary’s “Buddy Rogers Summer Party.” Seltzer, 71, will be honored for her 13 years as the auxiliary’s secretary. She is now treasurer. The group was named after the sister of the late MGM studio head Louis B. Mayer. It is the primary support group for Jewish Homes for the Aging. Actor Charles (Buddy) Rogers will be the master of ceremonies. The day will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Jewish Homes for the Aging, 18855 Victory Blvd. in Reseda. Tickets are $18.
