A Lynwood man who was being annoyed and threatened by gang members who carried sticks and threw rocks at his house allegedly beat one of them to death with a baseball bat--and was arrested on suspicion of murder. Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Cox said Jimmy Warren, 18, of Lynwood, was followed to his home by four or five members of a gang that had harassed him in the past. Once there, he said, the group threw rocks at his house, “and Warren came outside with a bat in his hand.” A fight broke out, he said, and Warren reportedly struck George Sarabia, 22, also of Lynwood, with the bat several times in the head and torso. By the time deputies arrived at the house, in the 3800 block of East Louise Street, Sarabia was dead. In addition to Warren, deputies arrested Fred Acosta, 20, of Lynwood and two juveniles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
