Brand Traffic Detours to Last Until Aug. 25

Road construction is forcing periodic detours on Brand Boulevard between Lexington Drive and the Ventura Freeway until Aug. 25, Glendale city officials said.
Motorists are being detoured to Maryland Avenue and Orange Street and advised to use alternate routes to freeways, including Pacific Avenue to the Ventura Freeway and Colorado Street to the Golden State Freeway.
City officials said the $3.8-million job is to be completed by late October.
