Laguna Hills : Motorcyclist’s Wife Dies After Collision

A 29-year-old Riverside woman who was a passenger on her husband’s motorcycle died of injuries suffered when the cycle was hit by a car at a Laguna Hills intersection, officials said Wednesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Jackie DeLeo was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by her husband, Timothy Paul DeLeo, also 29. CHP officers said DeLeo was northbound at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday on Moulton Parkway when he turned left on a green light at the Lake Forest Drive intersection.

Cynthia Lynn Supplee, 28, of El Toro, who was traveling southbound with the green light, struck the motorcycle in the intersection, officers said.

Jackie DeLeo was thrown 45 feet from the motorcycle. She was taken to Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo, where she later died of head injuries, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The victim was not wearing a helmet, officials said. Timothy DeLeo was treated at the hospital and released.

Supplee did not require hospitalization. She was not cited or held, officers said.
