Share

An “Answers for Transfers” program will be held next month to assist community college students interested in transferring to UC Irvine.

Information on admission, housing, financial aid, academic programs and campus services, including services for the handicapped, will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 205 of the UCI Administration Building on Aug. 11.

The program is part of UCI’s efforts to attract more community college transfer students to its campus in the fall.

“We have made a commitment to accept as many qualified community college students as possible, and we’ll probably be accepting transfer student applications for this fall until September,” said James Dunning, director of admissions.

Students who need information on transferring community college credits should bring copies of their high school and college transcripts, university officials said. Campus tours will be given at noon and 1 p.m.
