Buena Park : Suspect Believed Tied to 16 Armed Robberies
Undercover Buena Park police officers arrested an Arcadia man who may be responsible for 16 armed robberies of dry cleaning stores in Los Angeles and Orange counties in the last month, police said.
Police Officer Rich McMillen said that Steven A. Sonies, 40, was arrested Thursday night at a Beach Boulevard hotel in Anaheim on suspicion of a June 29 Buena Park robbery, and is suspected in 15 similar robberies in the two counties.
Sonies was booked on suspicion of robbery and was being held at County Jail on a parole violation, according to McMillen.
