Valley Dodgers Sweep to Clinch GSL Title
The Valley Dodgers swept a doubleheader from the San Marcos Kings on Saturday at Palomar College in San Diego to clinch the Golden State League championship.
The Dodgers (26-6-1), who won, 3-1 and 9-6, set a league record for wins with a 17-3 mark.
Pitcher Fred Riscen (6-1) pitched a three-hitter and struck out a team-record 13 batters in the first game.
In the second game, Mike Bible hit his sixth home run and Sean Collins had four hits and four stolen bases to lead the Dodgers.
