Italian member of Parliament Ilona Staller, who also keeps her X-rated film career going on the side, said Monday she hopes her political career will promote sexual liberation but found that barriers remain on French television. During an interview Sunday, Staller’s dress gradually dropped low enough to reveal one of her breasts. But the show’s host, Yves Mourousi, reached over to help her cover up, saying, “There are some things you can’t show on French television.” No word from the French network on ratings for Staller’s appearence.
