A Fresno youth was sentenced to 12 years in prison for setting another youth on fire with gasoline as he walked along a city street a night. Leroy Kemp Jr., 18, had pleaded guilty to attempted murder and assault charges in the April 7 attack on David Mendoila suffered second-degree burns on his face, arms, neck and chest in the unprovoked assault. Kemp was ordered to pay a $150 restitution fine and will receive 160 days’ credit for time served, court officials said.
