The Television Critics Assn. awarded its lifetime achievement award to the now-off-prime time NBC police series “Hill Street Blues” during its Tuesday awards giveaway. The society also honored the PBS series “Eyes on the Prize” with two awards (including program of the year), NBC’s “L.A. Law” (best TV drama), CBS’s “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” (best children’s show), HBO’s “Robin Williams at the Met” (best special) and “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show,” on Showtime, for the best comedy.
