Track Crossings Rough, Trashy

Drivers on Imperial Highway who must cross railroad tracks over San Pedro Street, Wilmington Avenue, Fernwood and Alameda streets are faced with weeds, dirt and other debris that presents both safety hazards and potential car damage.

Why are those crossings allowed to continue being rough and trashy? Traffic flow is brought to a halt as cars carefully roll over these crossings to minimize bumping and alignment damage. Potential rear-end collisions could further endanger the public as a result of this obvious neglect.

If other motorists are concerned, they should write to Southern Pacific Transportation Co. and the Public Utilities Commission, both based in Los Angeles.
