Santa Monica : Dance for Seniors Scheduled
Senior citizens may attend the 11th Annual Senior Prom, sponsored by the Department of Recreation and Parks and PDQ Personnel Services Inc. at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
About 800 people are expected to attend the prom, which will have a Mexican theme and feature big-band music from the Kenny Sheldon Orchestra, according to Kathy Kucharski, recreation program coordinator.
Tickets are free and available at the Santa Monica Recreation Center, 1450 Ocean Ave.
PDQ, a private employment agency, has recently started a program to get senior citizens back into the work force, according to spokeswoman Dee Crider.
