Trout, Striped Bass, Catfish Top Catches
Limits of trout have been reported in most areas of the Sierra, and larger fish, such as striped bass and catfish, have been making news elsewhere in California.
At Bullhead City, Charles Parsons of Rowland Heights caught perhaps the largest freshwater fish of the week, a 33 1/2-pound striper.
Meanwhile at Silverwood Lake north of San Bernardino, Glenn Hanmock of San Bernardino caught a 22 1/2-pounder striper. Luis Rose of West Brook landed a 19-pound catfish near the dam at Silverwood.
