Local News in Brief : Death of Man Found in Westlake Pond Probed

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of a Westlake Village man found floating face down in a duck pond near a local hotel.
The body of Kevin James Brisick, a 23-year-old clerk at a Westlake Village delicatessen, was found about 8 p.m. Friday in the pond outside Westlake Inn, in the 32000 block of Agoura Road, said Deputy Eric Smith, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department.
Smith said the cause of death is unknown. The county coroner’s office is conducing an autopsy.
