Two of Tennessee’s top football recruits, including the nation’s top receiver prospect, failed to meet National Collegiate Athletic Assn. academic standards and can’t play this season, school officials said.
Anthony Morgan, a wide receiver from Cleveland, and Mark Moore, a defensive lineman from Charleston, W. Va., failed to qualify under NCAA Proposition 48, said Haywood Harris, Tennessee assistant athletic director.
