Manhattan Beach : Proposed Bar Protested

Share

At a public hearing this week, residents protested a proposed restaurant/bar on Sepulveda Boulevard where Tai Song, a Chinese restaurant, is located.

Roy Mills, the owner of other South Bay restaurants, is proposing a “Tex-Mex, family-oriented” restaurant that would feature live entertainment. Plans for the new business include reducing the building area from 4,400 square feet to 3,100 square feet and expanding the parking lot.

The hearing was the result of an appeal to the Board of Zoning Adjustment’s approval of a conditional use permit and zone variance for the proposed restaurant.

Because Councilwoman Connie Sieber--who initiated the appeal--was absent Tuesday, council action was delayed until the next meeting.
