You’d Almost Think That Dickerson Had to Work for a Living
After reading about the financial woes of Eric Dickerson, I can truly sympathize with him. As a student-worker who barely makes $20,000 a year, I realize how difficult it must be to motivate oneself to get out of bed for a paltry $683,000 a year.
Come on! When are these athletes going to gain some perspective on reality? Don’t they realize that most people will never see $683,000 in their entire lives? Does Dickerson really expect sympathy from the public when he tells us how depressed and unmotivated he is? Instead of bellyaching about how low he is on the comparative salary list, Eric should realize how lucky he is to make so much money for playing a game. Some of us work for a living!
