A man who drowned off the Malibu coast 10 days ago was identified Wednesday as Cameron Roger Pagter, 24, an employee of a Malibu sporting goods shop.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Pete Fosselman said Pagter had dropped by an Aug. 2 party at actor Bruce Willis’ home in the area. Willis, through a spokesman, said Pagter “stayed only about three minutes and then ran into the ocean. That was the last I saw of him.”
Pagter, who worked at the Jet Ski Shop and reportedly repaired Willis’ motorized craft, had met the actor the day before when Willis showed up to retrieve his jet ski.
County lifeguards recovered his body Tuesday, 200 yards off the beach near the Malibu Pier.
