There are a few things Eric Dickerson should think about before crying about his salary.

First, Eric, you are not being paid enough when compared with other players. But you signed the contract.

Second, it is comforting to know that you’re not loading yourself down with silly thoughts like trying to be one of the greatest running backs in the game, or going to the Super Bowl. No. You are “just sick beyond words” about not being the highest-paid player in the National Football League.

Third, any football fan loves to watch you play, but by saying that you cannot play up to your ability because you are only making $683,000 turns the stomachs of people like myself who can’t afford to go to a game.

Finally, I was always taught to be thankful for what you have. So next time you feel deprived and your hamstrings are killing you, tell it to Darryl Stingley.
