The presidents of Mexico and Brazil, the two biggest debtor nations in the Third World, will meet here this week for economic and political discussions.

Brazil’s President Jose Sarney is scheduled to arrive in the capital tonight, with formal welcoming ceremonies set for Monday morning at the National Palace. The visit with Mexico’s President Miguel de la Madrid could be a preview of the November summit meeting of eight Latin presidents that will take place in Mexico.

The two presidents “will examine the participation of their governments in the efforts of Latin American political and economic integration and the process of pacification in Central America,” a Foreign Ministry statement said.
