Anaheim : Man Running Across Freeway Is Hit, Killed
A man running across the Riverside Freeway was struck and killed by a truck early Monday, authorities said.
The man, identified as Travis E. Martin, 39, of Garden Grove, was running south across the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Weir Canyon Road in Anaheim Hills about 4:30 a.m. when he was struck by an eastbound tractor-trailer rig, authorities said.
The truck driver, Dennis Francis Silva, 37, of Artesia, will not be cited, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
Martin was declared dead at the scene, the CHP said.
